Standard Separation Mediation – Low Conflict

Clearpoint’s Standard Separation Mediation is designed for couples who are largely aligned and able to meet jointly, but want professional guidance to finalize parenting and financial matters clearly, efficiently, and without escalation.

This service provides a structured, cost-controlled path to resolution when most decisions are already agreed or require only limited negotiation.

Option 1: Standard Separation Mediation

Pricing
$2,699 + HST per couple
(Equivalent to $1,349.50 per person if shared equally)

Includes

• Individual Intake & Readiness Screening
  Two individual meetings × 1 hour each

• Joint Mediation Sessions
  Up to 4 hours of joint mediation

• Parenting & Child Support Resolution

  • Confirmation of parenting arrangements (where applicable)

  • Child support discussion and confirmation in accordance with the Ontario Child Support Guidelines, including Section 7 expenses

• Financial Issue Confirmation

  • Review of agreed division of property

  • Confirmation of straightforward outcomes based on figures provided by the parties

• Documentation of Mediated Terms
  Preparation of Mediation Minutes, an MOU, or a draft Separation Agreement for independent legal review

Not Included

• Preparation of full Net Family Property (NFP) calculations

• Complex financial analysis (pensions, businesses, valuations)

• Shuttle mediation or high-conflict facilitation

Option 2: Standard Separation Mediation – With CPA-Supported Equalization

$3,599 + HST per couple

Includes everything in Option 1, plus:

• CPA-Supported Net Family Property Equalization

  • Preparation of NFP calculations

  • Review of assets, debts, exclusions, and equalization outcomes

  • CPA-supported clarification of financial implications

  • Integration of equalization results into the mediation process

  • Accurate reflection of financial terms in final documentation

This option is best suited for couples who want full financial clarity and confidence without retaining a separate accounting professional.

Important Process Note

If it becomes clear during intake or mediation that the matter exceeds the scope of low-conflict mediation due to complexity, disclosure issues, or conflict level, options for transitioning to a different mediation process will be discussed before proceeding.
